Mexican Navy Seizes Drugs After High Speed Chase At Sea

A surveillance video released by the Mexican navy shows the moment the Mexican navy seized drugs in a high speed chase at sea.

According to the government they seized around 1,700 kilograms (3,748 pounds) of cocaine off the coast of Chiapas.

They deployed units at sea, in the air and on the ground to pursue a small boat that was carrying 1,744 packages in the shape of a brick that contained what authorities believed to be cocaine.

Eight people were detained and later handed over to the Prosecutor's Office Public Ministry in the city of Tapachula, located in the state of Chiapas.
