You are invited to join Minister Anton Bredell on a visit to Stony Point Nature Reserve, outside Betty’s Bay, on Tuesday the 13th of September. The visit will highlight the important contribution CapeNature makes to eco-tourism in the Western Cape as part of its conservation mandate. Minister Bredell will also highlight Access Week, from the 20th to the 27th of September, when CapeNature’s reserves can be visited free of charge.

September also marks Heritage Month in South Africa and Stony Point is situated on the site of the historic Waaygat Whaling Station. Today it is home to a colony of the endangered African penguin.
