▪️After withdrawal from Kharkiv Region, Russian Armed Forces equipped defensive positions on the left bank of Oskil River.

▪️The most difficult situation is near Lyman, where AFU are trying to create a bridgehead on the left bank of Siverskyi Donets River.

▪️For three days in a row, Ukrainian formations have been trying to storm Lyman. They attack the positions of Allied Forces around the town from several directions.

▪️Back in early September, AFU infantry units crossed Siverskyi Donets and occupied the settlements of Brusivka and Staryi Karavan located in the grey zone. Attempts to storm Allied Forces' positions in the forests on the outskirts of Lyman failed.

▪️Later, AFU established a crossing over Siverskyi Donets near Zakitne and transferred armored vehicles to the left bank. Ukrainian Command plans to reach Yampil and then attack Lyman from the rear.

▪️Only one Russian Armed Forces' unit holds the ground in the village being supported by LPR People’s Militia's artillerymen. Even such a scarce force has so far repelled all attacks, but AFU are trying to gain a numerical advantage and is actively engaged in counter-battery fire.

▪️The possible loss of Svyatohirsk poses a threat to the forces defending in Lyman. During the day, at least part of the town came under AFU's control.

▪️AFU units also assaulted Bilohorivka near Siversk. The settlement is on the outskirts of Lysychansk and opens the way for an attack on the Severodonetsk agglomeration and further in the direction of Luhansk.

🔻 AFU's immediate goal is to capture Lyman and create a bridgehead on both sides of Siverskyi Donets to break through the defence in the Severodonetsk agglomeration and reach the rear of the entire grouping in LPR.
