The Walk Together for ALS event took place in Lethbridge over the weekend. A number of participants put their best foot forward in support of a fundraiser down at the Henderson Horseshoe Picnic Shelter. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis or ALS is a rapid and fatal neurodegenerative disease. It attacks the nerves of the body that would normally send messages from the brain to the muscle, resulting in weakness and wasting. Staff from the ALS Society of Alberta says the $20,000 that was raised will go toward important services and support for ALS patients and their families.

This was also the first time since 2019 that the event was able to be held in person.
