Former IRS agents Joe Banister and Sherry Peel Jackson who both publicly stated that no law requires the average American to file and pay income taxes, were also both tried for tax charges. Sherry Peel Jackson was sentenced to four years in prison for failing to file and pay taxes, while Joe Banister walked free.
