Game Format Description:

Resident Evil Revelations was originally released in an episodic format with a total of 4 episodes broken up into sections based on which characters the Player takes control of. The first part of each episode follows Claire Redfield and Moira Burton as they attempt to escape the island they are held captive on while the second part of each episode follows Barry Burton and Natalia as they search the island for Claire and Moira.

The actions of Claire and Moira can sometimes have direct impact on Barry and Natalia since they often crisscross as they navigate the same island. The Player is ultimately the one that makes the decisions that can have drastic consequences depending on how they proceed through the game.

Episode 1 - Penal Colony [Barry and Natalia]:

Barry picks up a distress call from a nearby island that sounds just like his daughter Moira and makes his way there. Upon arriving he encounters a little girl named Natalia who has a peculiar gift to see things others cannot. Barry takes Natalia under his wing as they both make their way further into the island in search of his daughter.
