Whiteout-Extra [Halo 5 Forge Map]

Hello Little Cobwebs!

With Halo Infinite's Forge mode FINALLY coming out this November, I felt this might be my last chance to get players to help me playtest a few old Halo 5 maps of mine from 2016.

In these 3 videos, I perform a simple run through in customs and point out eye elements of each map. Each video will be unedited, hence their lengths. I appreciate any feedback you can give, so long it's honest and not vulgar. Keep it family friendly please.

Map name(s): Whiteout & Whiteout-Extra
As with majority of my Halo 5 maps, Whiteout/Lockdown was created in early-mid 2016. Whiteout is my redesign of the classic, and beloved, Lockout map from the days of Bingie controlled Halo. As with most Halo players, I greatly enjoyed the original, and even the remakes of the years. However, I always hated how linear the map was. Players always got stuck holding positions to either avoid death, or to secure a goal. More often then not, players had no escape. Areas would be bombarded with firepower and grenades that these areas would become death traps.

In 2016 I sort to resolve this. After blocking out the layout and ensuring the classic map worked well in Halo5's sandbox, I began to add new paths by means of bridges. I connected Red base to the bottom of the gravity lift tower. I connected the top of blue base to the top of the gravity tower. I connect the bottom of blue base to the sword spawn. Lastly, I connected the top of gravity tower to the top of the sword base, by means of a one-way teleporter.

Over the years since 2016, I've slowly been improving the map's esthetics and added little jumps and exposed camping spots to get the potential drop on the enemy. In June of 2022, I managed to include not one, but TWO additional paths to the map! The bottom where the shotgun spawns, now has a path to the blue team's Sneaky Bridge. But you must first destroy the ice that blocks this path. It is now also much easier to traverse from that bridge to the top center of yellow.
