Review : Good Cable Cutter

"In the past I have used this style ratcheting cable cutters from various other brands including Greenlee, South Wire and Craftsman, this Knipex is the best one yet and priced right about in the middle. I have been doing a job cutting 500kcmil copper wire and these cutters make it through with relative ease, not like cutting through butter, but your hands are not paying for it later. So far we have done about 50 cuts and the blade is still sharp, I wore out the South Wire branded cutter in less than 15 cuts.

I am an extreme nut about buying American made products and will go out of my way to ensure I get something made here in the good old USA, however, I could not find an American made cable cutter. I have found that every Knipex product I have purchased is top quality, this is not junk from China! These are made in Germany, so I guess if its not made here Europe is a better option IMHO. Overall you can't go wrong with these!"

Review : Expensive but worth it

"I didn't want to spend the money at first and bought the Chinese knockoff you can find on Amazon for 50 bucks. Haha, big mistake, didn't properly cut AWG2/0 fine stranded, was just compressing the strands and the strands got pushed between the blades to the tool got stuck. What a joke.
Sent it back for a refund and forked out the money for a Knipex that actually does the job."
