Krypton Season 3 cancelled by Syfy, as spinoff Lobo also looking for new home

Hey, guys! The second season of the Superman prequel ended its run on the Syfy network with the end of the civil war between General Zod and the rebels, which could also signify the end of the road for the entire series. We don’t think Syfy will renew Krypton for Season 3, and here is why. The thing is, the main factor that television networks take into consideration when making a decision on the future of their shows is viewership ratings. And Krypton failed to deliver during the second season, as ratings dropped to 400 thousand average viewership per episode as compared to 800 thousand viewers during the first season. In fact, episode 9 drew as little as 290 thousand viewers. This is a very bad sign. Also, we have heard through the grapevine that Syfy is already working on a Krypton spinoff series, with a working title Lobo, which probably means that the new show will replace its failing predecessor. Let’s wait for the official confirmation. Meanwhile, please, subscribe to our channel and we will inform you when Syfy officially announces the fate of Season 3 of Krypton.
