Halter Breaking A Calf: Setup for those with limited resources

Caution is STRONGLY advised if you are in a position to use this setup because the calf can, and likely will, get its feet hung in the panel. BUT, it's the way I did it with my first few calves because it was the ONLY way I could do it. I had virtually no resources. But I got it done.

It is so important to me that I halter break my cows here because I mostly have to handle them alone. When I need to move them, or medicate them, or just simply have them out of the way for a while while I do something with the other cows, having them halter broken is more helpful, in fact; necessary.
