3/26/2022 Preparing Ground Eggshells, for worm bin grit, compost amendment, and insect deterrent

Im preparing eggshells that I've collected for over two months. These eggshells have all been put into the microwave to help sterilize the eggshells. I add them to the blender and there isn't any exact time they were blended for. I just am looking for the eggshells to be completely ground up.
The eggshells will be used in both of my worm bins for grit for the worms to help them break down food scraps. Worms do not have a stomach, they are like a chicken with a crop and gizzard that breaks down their food. Ground eggshells help to add calcium into the the compost, calcium is needed by certain plants to help prevent blossom end rot, a few plants that are affected by blossom end rot are tomatoes, eggplants, and peppers. These eggshells can also be used as a bug deterrent, ground eggshells help to put a barrier around your plants. It is not affected by rain like diatomaceous earth but has a similar effect on bugs. It can cut and scratch them which either deters them from returning or can kill them by damaging their exoskeleton.
