Plane overshoots runway, crashes into San Diego Bay

A Navy contracted, twin-engine plane carrying two civilian pilots slid off the runway after it touched down at Naval Air Station North Island in San Diego. The pilots were able to escape the aircraft and were taken to hospital for observation. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
