In recent news, Queen Elizabeth II, Britain’s longest-reigning monarch and a figure of stability throughout a very chaotic century, has passed away at the age of 96. News of her passing came on September 8th, 2022 after serving 70 years on the throne. It was announced that Queen Elizabeth died at her summer home in Scotland, Balmoral Castle, where her loved ones stayed by her side. Of course, being a Queen and all, that’s only one of a handful of homes that she’s stayed at over the years – including the 775-room Buckingham Palace of course.
