As the monetary system continues to break down and energy derivatives markets spiral out of control in Europe, the crisis rhetoric is getting particularly disturbing. What remains of the EU is now actually calling for absolute power over all production of goods and services. In other words, a full blown Soviet style system, on that has proven in the past to lead to mass starvation.

The only real solution to all of this, of course, is sound money, meaning the return of physical silver as the money of the people. It's a lesson way too many people will have to learn the hard way.

Meanwhile, as the stakes get ever higher, registered silver supplies at the Comex break below 50 million ounces, and the LBMA bleeds another 35 million ounces in August.
