The Trans-Alaska Pipeline System was $8 billion in today's money. Now Russia is seeing their energy leverage play out and it's hurting the US because we have to go help our European allies, which is important. Now Russia announced in 2020 that they're going to spend $300 billion developing oil and gas in the Arctic. Meanwhile, we're shut down up there.
