antelope
Hoofed mammals of the Bovidae family to which slender animals with spiral horns and short tail belong. They are of medium size between 60 and 100 centimeters in height at the withers.
They are inhabitants of the savannas and deserts, typical of the African continent. They are territorial and gregarious beings, with well-developed senses of sight and hearing. Eating habits are exclusively vegetarian.
Regarding the reproductive behavior of antelopes, which gather more herds of females than any other African ruminant, pregnant females generally form more or less compact groups or are kept apart. In their gestation period of one hundred and eighty to two hundred days, they separate completely and give birth hidden among the bushes.
