Sizeable Scarab Escaping From Ceiling

Info from Licensor: "I was up late working one night (I'm a writer) and noticed my dog staring at a spot on the ceiling. I looked up and heard a scratching sound. After a few moments, a small black hole appeared. Within moments a long, thin, spiny black leg reached through. I thought it was a bat and duct-taped a metal panel over the hole to try and keep it in the attic until my husband got home from work. Once he got home we removed the metal and held a large plastic container over the hole and a scarab nearly the size of my hand climbed out."
