We visit Medora, North Dakota, staying in Boots Campground and explore the town including the Medora Musical, Rough Riders Dog Park, true Cowboy Museum and then visit nearby Theodore Roosevelt National Park and encounter wildlife including prairie dogs, bison, horses, deer, turkey, and more. I would say Theodore Roosevelt National Park is a bit of a cross between Yellowstone and Badlands, and definitely worth checking out, along with Medora, if you're ever in the area.
