Attempting to Follow the Homeless Money

Six weeks ago we scheduled a special guest to come on to the Utah Stories show to talk about how all of the money on homeless services is being spent. Perhaps out of fear of difficult questions, she has bailed out on us.

However, instead, we have Samuel Grenny from the Otherside Village on to talk about the concept of tiny home villages being used to alleviate homeless people, especially those suffering from mental disorders and addiction.

We debut a new interview with a homeless couple (Dennis and Tami) who were living under the bridge to Hidden Hollow in Sugar House Park a year ago. It's very surprising what they have to say about the new condition of Salt Lake City in terms of prostitution, drug trafficking, and homeless policy.

Dennis also offers his idea of how a tiny home village could work to help the many hundreds if not thousands of Utahns suffering from addictions who are now living on the streets.

We discuss in detail Housing First Policies. Both good housing first policy and poor housing First. It turns out there is a massive difference.
