The History of the Special Alliance Between the Black and Jewish Communities: The history of the Black and Jewish relationship is a long and complex one. The Jewish community can be credited with helping establish the NAACP, to help insure civil rights and social justice. Jews marched arm-in-arm in the civil rights movement and rose to help stop the slavery and genocide in Darfur. This week's edition of "Focus Israel" focuses on the long and important relationship between the Black and Jewish communities, both in America and throughout the world.
