From 1987 - 1997 Sonia was a music journalist contributing to titles including Q Magazine, Muzik, The Guardian Guide and The London Evening Standard.

Her assignments included a tour of the War Child Exhibition with David Bowie and touring America and Europe with multi-million selling bands. She was one of the last journalists to tour with hip hop artist, The Notorious B.I.G. before his murder in 1997.

From 1997 onwards - when she became a mother - Sonia's creative horizons expanded and she now comments on a variety of human interest issues for national and international press and media.

She has investigated youth culture and knife crime (The Independent); Pushy Parents (Daily Mirror) Bad Manners (Daily Express); Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (Daily Mail); The Sexualisation of Young Girls (The Sun); Home Education (The Times) and A Multi-cultural Society (Daily Telegraph) among many others.

She has written extensively on the issue of Austerity - from benefit cuts to foodbanks - and how Government policies have detrimentally impacted vulnerable people including elderly, single parents and sick and disabled people. She has also campaigned against Government cuts impacting welfare and the National Health Service.

Sonia is infamous for her outspoken views on State and parental neglect, global inequalities and a culture where people are famous for being famous. She has lamented the sexualisation of young girls, the medicalisation of children and the issues attached to vaccinations and the influence of big pharmaceutical companies.

She has penned many first-person articles including the affects of growing up without her father, the premature death of her mother and her harrowing experiences of working in a number of care homes. These included adults with learning difficulties and the elderly.

Sonia began broadcasting for TV and Radio in 1991.

She researched, scripted and presented the live weekly spot on popular culture for Kiss FM including a live report from America during the O.J. Simpson murder trial.

Her TV experience is varied. From interviewing artists backstage at an AIDS concert (C4) to reporting on the woes of the Child Support Agency (ITV) through to revealing her personal experiences from romance to motherhood. She is regularly interviewed about her newspaper articles for the BBC and ITV.

She is a regular debater on ITV's This Morning covering controversial topics including 'should the age of consent be lowered?' and 'should abusive parents have contact with their children?'

She also contributes to national and international news programs for ITN and Sky News on subjects including Child Sexual Assult (CSA), Establishment Corruption, Free Speech and Censorship.

As a former media consultant, she tutored numerous pop bands including The Spice Girls and she was instrumental in creating their iconic nicknames.

She completed a Psychology degree ("because I wanted to understand myself more") and she takes great pride in her role as a single parent to her daughter.

She deplores procrastination, bad manners, bigotry and PC-behaviour. She is inspired by human kindness.
