The main types of pills are 1. replacements eg. thyroid hormone, L-Dopa for Parkinson's disease, vitamin B12 for vegans. 2. Antibiotics for bacterial infections. Antivirals for viral infections. 3. Enzyme activators and blockers. Blocking an enzyme at the "site" of the disease can be beneficial. But when this enzyme is blocked elsewhere, it may cause side effects. Low fat, vegan diet builds you up, with no known side effects, except need to take vitamin B12 (that is discussed in a separate video). You can reach optimal health on a vegan diet. With pills, one tends to have limitations due to side effects.
