Indian ringneck parrots need some proper nutrition , veterinary care , and socialization . An unhealthy parrot tends to be anxious and unstable , and unhappy parrots normally do not live too long . Parrots are very intelligent and highly social birds that can be amazingly fluffy companions to anyone . However , like humans , they need attention or they will get bored .
