Historical Vs Operational Science

Historical science is essentially the study of the past. Operational science is the study of the way nature operates in the present Evolutions like to pretend that these two are equivalent but they are not. The big difference is that events that have occurred in the past cannot be observed. As a result, is much more room for philosophical presuppositions to affect the results of historical science.
