Treasures of meaning and value. (Matthew 13:44-46)

An example of treasure in a field and a pearl of great value [worth] and in them an invitation to read deeper. It's the chasing after, the wanting and longing to be in intimate. I mentioned the Song of Songs, I'm not lost on how it can be read as a very sexual book, more so if you have spent just a bit of time in that side of the world's culture. [Sex is not a bad thing, sexualization that is turning an image bearer into a piece of meat to your own pleasure, that is! Porn is not okay, doesn't make you an evil person, just means you whoopsed, there's forgiveness for that if you want to be free of that bondage.] No, we can read it as a tale of true intimacy that runs deeper than anything we can truly fathom on this earth, and when we try to compare to any worldly relationship, let's be honest, the worldly ones fail. When you read the intimacy between the two lovers in The Song of Songs shows our own relationships to be lacking; don't read it as an attack, see it as GOD pointing out HE'S The ONE, The ONE, The-Only-One, Who can love us like that, and more importantly (for some depending on where you are) wants to love us like that! HE wants to know you are more loved than the sun and the moon and the stars and more treasured and valued than all the plants and animals combined, you are made of stardust [(Literally, anything heavier than iron has to be made in a supernova, you are crafted in stardust]) and every hair on your head is known, it's not just a verse, it's a very real fact, that once you come to know The ONE to knows it, and taste that love and experience that peace, even for a moment, you sudden know exactly why the field with treasure hidden is worth everything you have, and why the merchant why buy the pearl, because HE knows who you really are.

Let's dig into what really matters, a relationship with HIM.

As a fun bit with the Song of Songs -idiom meaning the most important, the something of somethings- (as a bit of a fun fact) there is a spot marked "[Chorus]" in reading it for just a moment it called to mind another chorus that sings praises. Because when you think about it, humans were called to something way prettier and way different on page one, and since it's Heaven and Earth reuniting as one, I'm excited to live in a place where HE invades every place around and with me and fill it with the kind of intimate agape that shapes and shifts the very core of us from captive to free.
