Why would Matthew have some many examples of what the KINGDOM is like, the Upside-Down Kingdom [When compared to this world], then give examples of rejection from his hometown? There is always more to dig into more and find out. Perhaps it is to show that the world some might think we call home and the place we actually call home and different places and one will always be greater than the other.

Story of Stephen in Acts is found in chapter 7. It's to big to post here but... https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=acts+7&version=MSG;CJB;NLT Go read it anyway if it is on you to do, because how he lives and dies in chapter 7. How Hevel lived and died. How YESHUA lives for us, how HE died in our place, well perhaps that will help shift into an understanding of what real power, what real authority, what real trust really-truly look like. Let's dig in more and find out! Cause I promise you, even tomorrow with the death of John, we will see more of how HIS love conquers all, even when it seems like death.
