Atlanta Police Arrest 4 Violent Suspects With Guns
On Sunday, August 28, 2022, at around 7:53 PM Atlanta Police in Zone 3 responded to a person shot call in the 1600 block of Octavia St SE. Upon the officer’s arrival, he met and spoke to the gunshot victim who sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his legs and a laceration to the back of his head from being pistol-whipped. He told the officer he was also robbed by multiple males in a black Infiniti and his vehicle was also stolen.
A lookout was given city-wide of the suspect and victim’s vehicle. A short time later, Zone 5 patrol and Crime Suppression officers were alerted the victim’s vehicle was in the area of Central Ave and Trinity Ave. Officers spotted the suspects getting out of the victim’s vehicle and into a black Infiniti. Officers followed the suspect vehicle and while doing so, the suspects tossed out 3 firearms from both the driver and passenger side of the vehicle. The suspects then bailed out of the vehicle on foot while also tossing out an additional firearm and a black bag.
Multiple officers responded to the scene and began canvassing the area for the suspects. During their canvass, officers were able to successfully locate all four suspects involved in the robbery and shooting as well as all four firearms that the suspects tossed out of the vehicle. Upon further investigation, three of the four firearms were reported stolen, two out of Atlanta. We applaud the work of all the officers involved in this incident. The city is safer with these individuals behind bars.
