💰💰 IS IT MY FAULT? | EASY FRIDAY BUT SOMETHING COULD COST ME

Really loving these easy Friday's I have had the past couple of weeks. That won't last long as we head into fall with all the aerating, fertilizer and overseeding I have scheduled so far!

What would you do in this situation? My customer has blamed me 2 times for cutting the wire of here invisible dog fence. In the past 2.5 years, this is only the second time I have damaged it. The first time being right after Jordan, and I trimmed a bunch of shrubs back for easier access for our mowers. Now, I didn't really have an issue getting my 60" eXmark Turf Tracer into the customers backyard UNTIL we had trimmed that stuff back. It was tight before and now I am getting blamed for cutting a wire that obviously was not properly buried.

Is it my fault? Should I accept blame 100%? I admitted fault the first time. But when she emailed me again this past week and said that it is going to cost $171 for someone to come out and find the break and repair it, I felt as though it should not be my fault if the wire was not properly buried to the correct depth. That's why they are 'Invisible Fence's)! I offered to come out and fix the break and bury it properly so we could avoid this going forward. I have not heard back yet. It is going to be interesting to see how this all unfolds the remainder of this year and next season, if she decides to keep me. I may even pre-emptively let her go so I can avoid future issues and find a customer that will be at a higher rate. This one is a nice lawn to cut, but her price is not at market value. $33 and 4600 sq ft. When I got her as a customer, her price was $26, and it was tough raising her last year and this year. I could easily fill her spot in with one that meets my minimum mowing charge of $36 if not higher.
