VALUING ANTIQUES & THRIFT FINDS | VINTAGE MARKET | APPRAISAL VALUES

From tornado ravaged house to street fair to condo tower, I enjoy appraising antiques and vintage in any kind of venue! Two fun and very different appraisal fairs are my pleasure to share in this video. We go to an outdoor event in Washington state and an indoor event at a Florida retirement home that show us a variety of vintage—and the similarities and differences in collections from opposite ends of the country.

Centralia, Washington’s Antique Fest is a 20-year institution, and I’m the appraiser there most years. We meet other YouTubers, a known regional artist and people whose families never left town and kept their best. A famous female sharpshooter makes an appearance, in true Western style.

People whose ancestors had interesting backgrounds and the objects they’ve cherished typify the Fountains retirement home appraisal fair, where unusual things like a 1940 Tokyo Olympics linen and a sewing machine for career girls show up among interesting jewelry and other goodies. As one attendee said, “This is fun!”

Hull Pottery, Noritake Nippon moriage, Rookwood cat, Marine Corps book, engravings, African basket, Navajo and Persian turquoise jewelry, Metlox California Provincial (green), Wedgwood Jasperware, Royalty tin, Bristol glass painted scenic card or serviette holder, Steuben threaded stemware, Weller Kingfisher painted pitcher, Imperial Windmill carnival pitcher, etc.
