How Self-Improvement Has Poisoned Christianity

Hey everyone, in this video I discuss self-improvement; specifically, Christian self-improvement. American culture has been mixed in with the Gospel message to an alarming degree. TikToks showcase how the "good" Christian lifestyle needs to be productive, efficient, and disciplined. Although there is nothing intrinsically wrong with these qualities, it has no place in the Gospel. It's gotten to the point in which being unproductive is the cardinal sin.

The Christian life is restful and it was meant to be enjoyed. We have what we need forever in Christ. You aren't striving to be perfect, you are perfect. As if self effort ever resulted in perfection.
