The Newsfield Years | The Story of Newsfield Publications | Ant & Nic's Cabin Fever

Continuing on from our recent tribute to the artist Oliver Frey who recently passed away we are proud to present a Remastered Version of our short film from 2010 called 'The Newsfield Years'.

This film tells the story of CRASH, ZZAP!64 and AMTIX magazine creators Newsfield Publications and how in the early 1980's the company founders Roger Kean, Oliver Frey and Franco Frey took advantage of the growing interest in home computers and games to create a series of magazines and publications that helped grow and fuel the very industry they were writing about. Many fans of these publications will recall that as well as great writing and articles each issue was adorned by incredible hand painted artwork by the late Oliver Frey!
