Sun represents our Soul's desrires. It is the most consistant of all planets therefore, we show up in the house it occupies and shine our light there. Our vitality, personality, confidence and authority is seen through it. It is the significator of the father and our bosses. Ego is the biggest issue with the Sun so a weak Sun is less dependent on it. Sun eclipses the house or any planets with it. The indications of that planet can be hurt by the Sun where as the benefice planets can help the Sun's indications. Combustion degrees from the Sun for each planet is:
Moon 12°, Mars 17°, Mercury 14° or 12 degrees if retrograde (I use 8°), Venus 10°, Jupiter 11° and Saturn 15°.
It is strongest in the 10th house, exalted in Aries at 10° and debilitated in Libra at same degree. I agree with my teacher when she says 12th house is not a good placement for the Sun.

Sun Moon conjunction can create weak vision, short sightedness etc.as well as make the native sensitive and bring on anxiety from time to time.
