High school students from numerous across Utah gather to expand their understanding of government inner workings and the cost of freedom for Freedom Academy July 10-15, 2022, Camp Williams, UT. The Utah National Guard and the Honorary Colonels Corps celebrate the 60th anniversary of Freedom Academy. Since 1961, the Utah National Guard and the Honorary Colonels Corps have sponsored Freedom Academy and provided a challenging and engaging environment designed to teach young leaders the importance of freedom and that leadership is essential to its survival. Freedom Academy promotes the ideals and principles of the United States of America, a sense of patriotism, and motivation to actively participate in preserving our freedom.
