How the Kingdom of Heaven is Shared.

Whenever vacation planning season comes around you start to see people take to social media for recommendations on their upcoming vacation. You see post like, what are the best beaches to visit in Florida, best restaurants off the grid in Myrtle Beach, and kid friendly things to do with kids in Pigeon Forge. Individuals want to make the most out of their vacation experience, so they try to rely on positive experiences of their friends to ensure they have the best vacation possible. They don’t want to take of chance of falling prey to advertisers and spending a bunch of money of something that they will regret so they survey social media for the answers. The Kingdom of Heaven is a lot like someone getting vacation advice on social media, individuals who have had positive experiences with God will openly and willing share their experience with those around them. In fact, this is the way that God designed for His Kingdom to be shared with the world. God chose us as his earthen vessels (2 Corinthians 4:7) to carry His Holy Spirit and Gospel message to the world around us.

Romans 10:17 says that faith comes by hearing the Word of God, so it stands that for someone to hear then someone must speak it. God could have audible spoke of His Kingdom to us, He could have sent angelic beings to spread the word, or He could have just made us mindless robots who blindly served Him yet he choose His greatest creation to share His Kingdom with other. He chooses those who willing walked into His Kingdom and under His authority to invite others in and warn those who choose to reject the Kingdom. The message of the Kingdom is spread by those who didn’t deserve to be part of it and those who where past enemies of it. Having escaped the judgment to come, we willingly share the love of God with the world around us because we want all to come and know true freedom from the troubles of this world.
Over the next little bit, we are going to look at the Parables of Jesus that relate to how the Kingdom of God is shared with the world. It is not an exclusive club where only the elite get in, instead it is a come as you are invitation to all willing to except it. Jesus spoke on this in three distinct parables on the lamp stand, the city on the hill, and the story of the sower.
