Good morning all. Psalm 91:12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

God's angels... his Sons, shall bear thee (those who trust in him) so as to prevent our foot from dashing against a stone.

But what does "dashing of foot against a stone" mean? 🤔

Firstly, our feet are used to walk and "walk" is often a scriptural reference to our life.

Now consider, we are stones:
1 Peter 2:5 you also, as *living stones*, are being built up a spiritual house....

And we trust in a stone:
1 Peter 2:6 ....Behold, I lay in Zion A chief cornerstone, elect, precious, And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame."

But there are those who trust in another stone:
Jeremiah 2:27 Saying to a stock, Thou art my father; and *to a stone, Thou hast brought me forth:* ......

The "other" stone, the fake one, that's the stone we don't want to dash our foot against. To dash, is like being thrown against it, to stumble on it or broken by it.
Isaiah 8:15 And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.

To fall on and be broken by a stone scripturally, is an act of trust.
Luke 20:17-18 ..... The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner? [18] *Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken*; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

Therefore, to dash our foot against that stone is to fall on (trust in) and be broken the enemy (believing lies). That will inevitably result in our death. But to fall on and be broken by the elect stone is life. Selah!

As sons of God, we keep one another by sharing truth, to prevent each other from "falling on" a stone i.e. trusting a lie.
