Making Medicine Part 3 - Homemade Quinine?

Happy Sunday!

Today's Self Care Sunday is for making quinine, or maybe not. Either way this health tonic is loaded with vitamins, antioxidants and terpenes.

You'll need some organic lemons and grapefruits, filtered water, honey and ginger.

~Terpenes Present~

Geraniol (Lemons) - antibacterial, antifungal, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant.

Humulene (Ginger) - analgesic, anticancer, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, appetite suppressant.

Limonene (Citrus rinds) - analgesic, antianxiety, anticancer, antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, bronchodilator, GERD suppressant.

Linalool (Citrus) - active against acne bacteria, analgesic, anti-anxiety, antibacterial, antifungal, anticonvulsant, antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, antimalarial.

Nerolidol (Ginger) - antifungal, antimalarial, sedating.

Valencene (Grapefruit) - antiallergy, anti-inflammatory.
