Student loan forgiveness Is it a good thing?

How do you feel about Biden's Student Loan Forgiveness Plan?
I think it is a way to buy votes. 10K in forgiveness in the long run is not enough if we take into account the interest rate, which is dictated by the Fed.
Realistically, I think you should pay back your principal amount, but there is no longer any interest accruing on your debt.
Any interest paid should be retroactively put toward your principle.
