Check out our Urbz Sims in the City Let’s Play!
We will play the game from beginning to end to show off all the districts and zany sims from this console classic
Also look out for video game highlight moments with our new Youtube Shorts videos
The Urbz chronologically timelines itself after the Sims Bustin’ Out and is also a console exclusive title. The Urbz introduced weather even before the release of the Sims 2 Seasons! The Black Eyed Peas made a mashup soundtrack for this game which overtakes most of the gameplay and the music group even is featured as Sim characters throughout the city! The Urbz is a spin-off title and even mixes up the lingo by calling the sims urbz. In this game we play downtown where we choose a starting district and by building rep we will play through the other districts to meet new characters and social interactions. Each district comes in it’s own style with new fashion trends your Urb needs to fit in. And for work there’s a unique mini-game that includes 3 promotions that require skills to attain. Instead of the traditional sims skills, there’s only 3: body, creative, and logic. Your Urb also moves into new apartments as a progression of the game with a Penthouse as the final reward after scaring a villain from each district
The objective of the console games is to go to each of the nine districts and build their reputation (called "Rep", in-game). Rep is a measure of how popular an Urb is; as an Urb gains more reputation, they gain access to larger apartments and different districts. In the end, the Urb will have the largest apartment and be able to visit any of the districts.
In addition to gaining rep, the player must also make sure that his or her Urb has its needs fulfilled, and to increase the Urb's skills by playing mini-games. The amount of money Sims can make at the various jobs in each of the districts is determined by what skills they've leveled up. As the player progresses through the game, they will get messages for rent, from Darius, the Sim with the highest rep in the city, and get programmed messages to their XAM. There are also other challenges like helping Sims (or Urbz) get money from people or taking pictures of Urbz.
