First Line Tactical Gear Overview

First Line gear is the stuff you put on first and take off last. It's what is in your pockets, what you're wearing, and generally a belt setup with your pistol and some basic gear.

I'd like to thank the ARFCOM gear forum for some of the photos, some of these date way back and some are fairly current.

My old gear (several clips of it laying on the deck):
HSGI Padded Belt, HSGI Cobra Belt, HSGI Rifle TACOS, a bunch of Tactical Tailor pouches, ATS medical insert (fits in a standard GI double rifle pouch), Magpul and Sig magazines, big zipties, DSG Arms holster. Fenix LD12 light and Cold Steel Voyager knife.

My current gear:
Same HSGI Cobra Belt, HSGI Pistol and Rifle belt mount TACOS, Safariland GLS 578 Holster, Shadow Systems DR920 Combat, Magpul mags, North American Rescue Roo M-FAK, whatever's in my pockets.

Plans: Replace the Roo with a low profile pouch at my back, but mount the TQ up front, probably horizontally. I'd also like to add one to both my PC's but I don't have a spare I haven't beat on for training. Budget issues.
The Roo will probably get mounted on the side of my old LaRue (small) bug out bag man purse.

To pre-empt the LARP comments, this topic covers military, police and general public situations. You can kind of tell when you look at the pictures, which is which. Military folks tend to run a lot more stuff, police run a lot of comms and "police" stuff like cuffs and pepper spray. My own setup is about as non military as it gets these days. The only operating I do is a bow press and keyboard. lol
