Catawba River - Hwy 9 Boat Access - Lancaster, SC - Kayak Fishing for Bass and Bream - 6/25/19

After work I took the fishing kayak to the Catawba River and put-in at what has been the sketchiest boat access point yet visited. The paved boat ramp is located under the Hwy 9 bridge, so when visiting be sure to slow down as there is very little in the way of signage. As the river flow is dam-controlled, it is best to check water levels prior to putting in. The ideal flow rate is between 2000-3000cf/s. You can check the flow in the link provided below.
