Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announces launch of 2SLGBTQI+ action plan – August 28, 2022

At an event in Ottawa, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Marci Ien, the minister for women and gender equality and youth, announce the launch of a federal 2SLGBTQI+ action plan. They are joined by a number of community members and local Liberal MPs. In his remarks, the prime minister also comments on a recent incident in which Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland faced harassment and threats in Grande Prairie, Alta.
