RUTH: A PORTRAIT OF LOVING AND CLING TO GOD IN GRIEF
Psalm 126:5 King James Version
5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
GOOD EVENING IN YESHUA EVERYONE!!! Ricky and I had an incredible time in the House of the Lord this morning, Where Pastor Joe gave an awesome message from John 9:1-12, regarding the man blind from birth comment and I highly recommend that you listen to the message that I posted online. Overall it was a really good day, and I praise God for it.
I really love the book of Ruth, and how God shows that there is hope to be found in the midst of loss, and also that no matter what takes place in life, God is in control. I've been especially grateful for that promise throughout the many things that have taken place in my life, and one thing I know for certain. No matter what, we can rest in and cling to God always. I was especially challenged by the questions from this morning's devotional because I can relate to them, and I'd like to share them with you tonight. Please read these questions very carefully, and I pray that God will speak to you through them.
What does it mean for you to lean on God during your times of grief?
I'd like to do something interesting here, in not only sharing my thoughts on through this blog tonight, but I'd like to discuss this chapter on Ruth with you too. It's an intimate portrait of how God does take grief and pain and turn it into joy, and I pray that you will be able to see that truth for yourself. Come join me in this vlog, and learn what it means to love and cling to God even in times of grief! 😊
As I close this post with all of you tonight, I want to leave you with this final question from this morning's devotional, as a challenge to you, to reach out to those who are hurting, and allow God to use you in their lives.
Who may need your support right now?
I challenge all of you out there, to reach out to whoever may be suffering from a traumatic experience, last, or yes even a mental health issue, and let them know that you care. Right now more than ever they need you, and they need to know the love of Jesus. Don't be afraid to share the gospel with them, and let them know that they can be delivered from their sins. Most of all, just be there! I also want to encourage anyone right now who is suffering from depression, trauma of the past, or any mental health issue, to not be afraid to reach out for help. They are godly, caring, and compassionate people out there, who are willing to help, so don't be afraid to accept it.
UNTIL MONDAY GANG:
HAVE A SWEET, RESTFUL, AND BLESSED EVENING IN CHRIST JESUS!!!
