Chronic Pain: Not including symptoms into identifying the cause leads to misdiagnosis!
Every day I treat people I am astounding how the person's symptoms are completely disregarding when trying to identify the cause of those very symptoms. The symptoms are coming from the tissue in distress responsible for the symptoms therefore wouldn't it make sense that the best way to identify that cause is to interpret those symptoms?
But everyday people seek care from practitioners not educated or trained to interpret the symptoms presenting or even to see them as a factor in making a correct diagnosis. For most, their education and training simply leads to the premise that diagnostic test findings like x-rays and MRIs are absolute in determining the cause of pain or other symptoms.
It is astounding to me how insane this principle can be when the symptoms are so overtly indicating that the cause of the symptoms is not the identified structural abnormality like herniated disc, stenosis, pinched nerve, arthritis or meniscal tear. That these structural abnormalities simply exist independent to the cause of the pain or other symptoms. But if you go to somebody not educated or trained to recognize the value of the presenting symptoms then you get a diagnosis that in most cases is almost the opposite of what the symptoms are describing.
I provided a presentation of symptoms at the neck, the shoulder and hip so show how the symptoms being presented in very common ways will show a muscular cause versus some identified structural cause. These are very common occurrences I see almost on a daily basis. Which is why almost every one of the people I treat has been suffering with chronic pain for a sustained period of time even though they have been seeking care over this sustained period of time.
As is always the case, I suggest you listen to this discussion and see if it makes sense. If not, stay with the medical establishment and be prepared for a very long, bumpy ride. But if it does make sense, then get the Yass Method and end your pain or other symptoms and return to a normal functional level.
