Five Cheetah Leave Impala To Lone Lioness | Maasai Mara Safari | Zebra Plains

Five cheetah! but not the famous Five Musketeers/Fast Five/Tano Bora - This is Selenkei and her four almost fully grown offspring (Selenkei now has a new litter of cubs, this is the previous litter). A very lucky sighting as the cheetah family crossed out of the conservancy into the main reserve during the chase, allowing us to view them. The cheetah were feeding happily when they noticed a lioness approaching and all quickly moved off leaving what was left of the impala for the lone lioness to pick up. I think the lone lioness is one of the Enkoyonai pride of lions.
