Broody Hens | Spring 2022 | Chicken Update

Today we are showing you our 3 broody hens and we are hoping to have our first baby chicks ever to be hatched naturally on the homestead. This one particular broody hen is her second attempt and she is only a year old, 2 of our other hens are partridge chanteclers and are less than a year old. We have been wanting broody hens for years and in one spring we have 3 broody hens. Now we are becoming more sustainable in our chickens as we may not need to use an incubator in the future. Stay tuned to see how many these broody hens will hatch out!
