You Must Lose Your Life To Save It - August 28, 2022

The passage that we are looking at today is part of the turning point in the ministry of Jesus. It comes immediately after Jesus has talked to his disciples about who people think he is and who the disciples think he is. Peter has just declared that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God (Mt. 16:16). Jesus now begins to explain to his disciples that he must die and each of his followers must take up his cross. If we are to truly be Christians, it is crucial that we understand the teaching of Jesus in this passage.
