UNUSUAL FRUIT STAND ANTIQUE MALL! | RURAL ANTIQUE VINTAGE SHOPPING

Standing alone in a windswept vale, Thorp, Washington's Fruit Stand & Antique Mall is a regular stop for dealers and collectors traveling between Seattle and Spokane! Looming over busy I-90, it's a really different kind of operation that mixes Central Washington's agricultural specialties with an appreciable antique mall on its upper two levels, past farm and rail depot wagons (including the one hung from the rafters!). I never leave empty handed on any of my semi-annual passes through the mountains.

Western flavor in boots, range ware and Navajo jewelry are well represented as might be expected in this area of rangeland, but a broad range of colorful and interesting items give us cause to pause! Ceramic 1950s birds flock together in a Spring display, Watermelon glass stems from the 1920s and 30s mix pink and glowing green depression glass, even an original day-glo peacock print from 1970 make this a surprising roadside stop. Prices here are often retail, but can we dig out a few bargains to resell for a profit?

We find an Elton Bennett print, a working 1920s alarm clock and some mid-century gold glasses that can be had at prices we can resell for a profit in the big city on the top floor! Who says you can't shop in a busy successful antique mall and make money? Meanwhile, we get to see an amazing European hive, a 1920s blue enamel electric cookpot, and a phenomenal Jetboard that makes me want to hang ten!

Steve Largent and Yogi Berra signed baseballs, comic books, Washington & Oregon 1950s table linen, Hawaiian shirt, Case Knife display, pump, Union Pacific Railroad ad card, etc.
