The Good Shepherd, and the Great Commission (John 10; Luke 10) – A daily devotional.

Our Scripture reading covers two wonderful passages. The Gospel of Luke, chapter 10, records what is often referenced as a model for the Great Commission (Luke 10:1-20), addresses life’s most important question, “What shall I do to inherit eternal life?” (10:25-29), and presents the Parable of the Good Samaritan (10:30-37). The Gospel of John, chapter 10 is also a favorite of believers, as Christ introduced Himself as the Good Shepherd (John 10:1-18).
