I recorded how my babies grow each day. This is my first set of baby chicks. I ordered them from Cackle Hatchery. They are the Crested “Top Hat” Special and the Feather Footed Bantam Assortment Special.

I ordered 10 of each mix. If I had it to do again, I would not have ordered the mixes because I'm using these to start a breeding program. I love my babies, but business wise ordering specific chicks would have been a much better plan.

We also have 1 guinea and three silkie babies that survived a freak storm in this group. Enjoy watching them grow. I will have them all linked into a playlist so you can watch them. Chick flicks to enjoy: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLn3fko4h1DljAYO9YWVOCErGTrn3v11Yk

Okay. Let's see what happens here. And everybody is excited. Look at that. This is day two for my bitty ones to get their grass. Look at that. They're just crazy. They like it. They like it. I think that might be a buff or a white polish. Right before I came out this morning, I was looking on the website trying to figure out what the heck I got.

Now, the three older silkies. I don't know what they are. My husband bought them along with my showgirl rooster and showgirl female or. I have a splash showgirl rooster and then a showgirl or a splash female and she's laying. She's the only one on my hens right now laying. But of course, a good portion of my hens are stressed the f*ck out.

But hopefully it won't be much longer. And my husband will get my other oh, and I have an incubator coming in on Monday. I thought it was going to be here Friday, but looks like it'll be Monday, so I'll do an unboxing of it and then I'm going to snatch the eggs that my silkie hen, who's supposed to go broody.

Has not gone broody. Heifer. That's so cute to watch them fight over it, getting the choice morsels. As you can see, I got a pretty mixed bag. I know that I want to breed my silkies, but I'm just not sure on the rest of them, I'm going to probably keep the polish, but if I have any doo doo doo doo D'Uccle, I don't know if I'm saying that right or not, but if I have any of those, I'll probably trade or try to trade them for either cochins or silkies.

Who knows? I think that one is over there by the food bowl is a partridge. I just don't know if it's a cochin partridge or if it's silkie. I'm thinking cochin because he doesn't have a black beak. But I don't know, we'll keep finding out. This is June 10th and these babies hatched March or May 26th. Not the big ones, but the others.

So isn't she pretty I got two that look just like that little silver one have no idea what they are. This is all brand new to me. So part of why I'm recording every day. So I can go back and look and see what I get. Here, we got Mr. Boss Butt over here flicking his feathers. He's been crowing.

Now, he's going to stop. There he goes. He's telling them girls I'm boss. He's been trying to get it the last couple days. So hopefully I'll have some babies from them or eggs something. He puffs his sh*t all up, shakes his feathers around. He is spoiled. The lady I got him from her granddaughter carried him around and bathed him and blow dried him.

I think he was even an inside outside chicken. But there you go. Chick flick of the day for June tenth.
