Taiwan: US Senator Blackburn meets with President Ing-wen

Several high-profile visits from congressional lawmakers, including speaker of the house, Nancy Pelosi, have angered the Chinese government, in recent days. Another American politician is visiting Taiwan, in defiance of Beijing, which considers the island a renegade Chinese province. U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn met with President Tsai Ing-wen Friday. Reassuring her of American support for the self-governing island.
